The Everyday People Radio Show Format

Show Format and How to Become a Guest

The format of our show is pretty simple.  While in the show chat room, please let the Producer know that you would like to bring a topic, ask a question of the host, ect., and the subject of our comments and depending on time available, you will be given a chance to voice your comments, questions, ect.

You will need to download Pal Talk in order to participate.  You can download this free program HERE.  This program is spyware free.  The room moderators and owners have the complete power to control the room which means unlike yahoo, there are no booters and no mic hogs. YAY!  We encourage folks from all walks of life and all view points to come in and enjoy the show.

Show Guidelines

Once you are invited to the show room, then you will need to do a voice check. This only takes a few seconds for most guests. You will be assisted in the event that your voice is not functioning properly.

Prior to air time there is a benediction. In our case this is the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. While the host and guests speak on the mic, other guests can communicate in text in the chat room. There are some basic rules for getting your turn to talk.

All you need to do is let the Producer know that you wish to speak and the subject of your comments and you will be put in line to make your comments.  Please know that the show’s host and producer have control of the room and will make decisions on subjects of that nights topics.

At the top and bottom of each hour, we take a short break. Guests are permitted to speak during this time, HOWEVER, pay attention to what our engineer and producer  are typing in the chat room. When he or she types "standby", please clear the mic. This means we are going back on the air. Otherwise, we are in "safe" mode.

That's it. Really simple, right? Wait til you experience it firsthand. It's anything but simple!

"Don't you just love live radio?" - Matt, EPR Host.
